CinEd Berlin Sempozyumu’nda Avrupa Film Mirası Sınıfa Taşındı
Avrupa’da film okuryazarlığı alanında öncü projelerden biri olan CinEd’in birinci yıl kapanış sempozyumu, Temmuz ayının ilk haftasında Berlin’de gerçekleşti. Etkinlik, Alman Film Akademisi tarafından Sinema Transtopia’da organize edildi.
Etkinliğe Türkiye’den Film Araştırmaları Derneği üyesi ve Sakarya Üniversitesi öğretim görevlisi Serhat Yetimova da katıldı. Dört gün süren yoğun programda, projenin geleceğine dair fikir alışverişleri ve yeni iş birlikleri üzerine zihin açıcı oturumlar düzenlendi.
Sempozyumun öne çıkan etkinliklerinden biri, Berlinale Generation Direktörü Sebastian Markt’ın moderatörlüğünde gerçekleşen “Sınıfta Film Mirası” başlıklı özel paneldi. Panelde, CinEd, Alman Film Akademisi, DFF – Deutsches Filminstitut & Filmmuseum, Wim Wenders Vakfı ve film küratörü ve eğitmen Brigitta Wagner, uluslararası film mirasının sınıf ortamında nasıl kullanılabileceği üzerine tartıştı. Avrupa’da ve özellikle Almanya’da film eğitiminin karşılaştığı yapısal sorunlar da ele alındı.
Etkinlik kapsamında ayrıca, CinEd film koleksiyonundan esinlenerek kısa filmler hazırlayan Hermann-Hesse-Gymnasium öğrencilerinin projeleri izleyicilerle buluştu.
Berlin buluşması, CinEd’in Avrupa genelinde görünürlüğünü artırma ve daha fazla öğretmen, öğrenci ve uzmana ulaşma hedefi doğrultusunda önemli bir adım oldu.
CinEd’s Berlin Symposium Focuses on Bringing Film Heritage into the Classroom
The Final Symposium of CinEd’s first year took place in Berlin during the first week of July, hosted by the German Film Academy at the unique venue of Sinema Transtopia.
Among the international guests, Serhat Yetimova—lecturer at Sakarya University and a member of the Film Research Association (FAD) from Turkey—also took part in the event. Over four intense days, the symposium offered a space for critical reflection and future planning for the development of the CinEd project.
One of the major highlights was the special panel titled “Film Heritage in the Classroom”, moderated by Sebastian Markt, Head of Berlinale Generation. The panel brought together representatives from CinEd, the German Film Academy, DFF – Deutsches Filminstitut & Filmmuseum, and the Wim Wenders Foundation, alongside keynote speaker Brigitta Wagner, a noted film curator and educator. Together, they explored how international film heritage can be meaningfully integrated into classroom settings, while also discussing the challenges film education faces, particularly in Germany and across Europe.
The symposium also featured screenings of short films made by students of Hermann-Hesse-Gymnasium, who were inspired by the CinEd film collection and shared their creative reflections.
This Berlin gathering was a key moment in expanding the reach and impact of CinEd across Europe, aiming to engage more educators, students, and cinema professionals with curated film education resources.
