CinEd Bahar Dönemi Toplantısı Tampere’de Gerçekleşti
Serhat Yetimova ve Mustafa Aslan, CinEd’in Bahar Orta Dönem Toplantısı’na 6-10 Mart 2023 tarihleri arasında, Finlandiya’nın sıcak ve davetkar şehri Tampere‘de katıldılar. Ihme Filmi’nin ev sahipliğinde gerçekleşen etkinlik, yüksek kalitede organize edilerek verimli bir pedagojik değişim platformu sundu.
Beş günlük etkinliğin resmi programı, Tampere’nin tarihi kalbinde yer alan Finlandiya İşçi Müzesi Werstas’ta yapıldı. Etkinlik, MOG teknolojileri tarafından sunulan, resmi web sitesindeki değişiklikleri ve yenilikleri tanıtan bir sunumla başladı. Sonrasında Pedagojik Çalışma Grubu üyelerinin moderatörlüğünde bir tartışma yapıldı. Öğleden sonra, Finli öğretmenler ilk eğitim seansına katılarak, CinEd pedagojisi ve koleksiyonla yaratıcı çalışma yöntemleri üzerine bilgi aldılar.
Toplantının önemli anlarından biri de öğretmenlere sunulan “Listen!” adlı yeni pedagojik çapraz kesit videosu oldu. Bu eğitim filmi ve yardımcı materyaller, Nathalie Bourgeois, Teresa Garcia, Emiliano Ovejero, ve Emmanuel Siety tarafından hazırlandı. Sunum sırasında Nathalie Bourgeois, sesin sinemadaki rolü üzerine pratik egzersizler önererek katılımcıları tartışmaya davet etti. Bu pratik bölüm, pedagojik zorluklar ve deneyimlerin paylaşılmasına yol açtı.
Toplantının üçüncü gününde ise, Ihme Filmi’nin hazırladığı özel oturumda, Belgesel Filmlerde Portrelerin Rolü üzerine yapılan bir sunum oldukça ilgi gördü. Mette Lagerstam‘ın sunumunun ardından, belgesel yönetmeni Jukka Kärkkäinen ile yapılan sohbet de katılımcılar tarafından büyük ilgiyle dinlendi.
Sonraki gün, katılımcılar film gösterimleri ve tartışmalarla devam etti. Konular arasında belirli filmlerin gösterilmesindeki zorluklar ve “duyarsız” konularla ilgili pratikler paylaşıldı. Etkinliğin resmi bölümü, pedagojik materyallerin hazırlanması ve yerelleştirme gibi konulara yönelik çalışma grubu oturumlarıyla sona erdi.
Etkinliğin daha samimi ve informal kısmı da dikkat çekiciydi. Tampere Film Festivali, Avrupa’nın en eski ve büyük kısa film festivallerinden biri olarak etkinlik süresince katılımcılara film gösterimleri ve konuşmalar sundu. Katılımcılar, etkinlik sonrası saunalara girip soğuk gölette cesurca yüzme fırsatını buldular.
CinEd Spring Midterm Meeting Held in Tampere
Serhat Yetimova and Mustafa Aslan participated in the CinEd Spring Midterm Meeting, which took place in the welcoming city of Tampere, Finland, from March 6 to 10, 2023. Hosted by Ihme Filmi, the event was organized at the highest level and provided a platform for productive pedagogical exchanges.
The official program of the five-day event was held at the Finnish Labour Museum Werstas in the historical heart of Tampere. The event began with a presentation by MOG Technologies, introducing changes and updates to the official website. This was followed by a discussion moderated by members of the Pedagogical Working Group. In the afternoon, a group of Finnish teachers joined the existing participants for the first training session of the midterm, where they learned about CinEd pedagogy and creative ways of working with the collection.
One of the big highlights was the presentation of the new pedagogical cross-sectional video, “Listen!” to the teachers. The educational film and accompanying materials were developed by Nathalie Bourgeois, Teresa Garcia, Emiliano Ovejero, and Emmanuel Siety. During the presentation, Nathalie Bourgeois screened excerpts from the video and proposed practical exercises on the role of sound in cinema. This part sparked a discussion among participants and led to the sharing of pedagogical challenges and practices.
Another memorable moment occurred on the third day, when Ihme Filmi organized a special session about the role of portraits in documentary films. Mette Lagerstam presented on the topic and showcased examples from the CinEd collection, followed by a conversation with Jukka Kärkkäinen, a documentary filmmaker, moderated by Elina Vitkala.
The following day was dedicated to further training and discussions on various challenges, including screening specific films and dealing with “sensitive” subjects. Participants shared their best practices, surprises, and strategies for addressing difficult topics. The formal part of the event closed with working group sessions discussing localization, editorial practices, and future challenges.
The informal aspect of the event was also remarkable. Held during the Tampere Film Festival, one of Europe’s oldest and largest short film festivals, the event gave participants the opportunity to attend film screenings and talks. Afterward, they enjoyed the warmth of the saunas and a daring plunge into the cold waters of the local lake.
